Jubilee Gardens
27th October to 4th November 2012
Jubilee Gardens
Jubilee Gardens is a ‘natural garden’ with winding paths through plantings of lush and varied foliage including maples and a huge variety of tall deciduous trees. The flower display includes rhododendrons, camellias, crab apples, viburnums, clematis, bulbs, perennials and more. The understory is hostas and small shade loving perennials. It is a collector’s garden. As the garden is on sloping site with only15cm of soil and hot northerly winds in summer, raised beds, good mulching, appropriate watering and a regular fertilization program are needed. On the Open Days Joy and Ted will be available to explain how they create and maintain their garden.
Opening for 9 days at peak season to cater for weekday as well as weekend visitors.
